Customs detectives searched a Bangladesh Biman flight from Dubai to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong and recovered six gold bars weighing approximately 10 kg. The gold was recovered on Saturday (December 16) morning on the basis of a tip-off.

According to airport sources, gold bars were found on BG 147 flight number 16B and under the side seats. The NSI team on duty at the airport also took part in the operation along with the customs detective. During the operation, 8 gold bars weighing 9 kg 98 grams of 24 carats were recovered. The recovered gold bars were later handed over to the Customs House Airport Unit in Chittagong.
