Sushant Singh Rajput has always been an actor to look out for. Being a TV face, his acting chops in ‘Kai Po Che’ proved he can deliver believable performances. A cricket fan himself, he went on to play one of India’s best cricket captains, MS Dhoni, on the big screen. Not only a proficient actor, SSR was a great dancer too and not many know he started his career as a background dancer. Now, choreographer Vivek Dadhich, who has also worked with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput expressed in an interview how much he misses working with Sushant. Remembering about the time he spent with SSR, he said, ‘I feel it was a huge opportunity for me to have worked with him. The actor has garnered a lot of appreciation from the critics as well as the viewers for his dialogue delivery abilities and his effortless acting. Apart from being the talented actor that he was, Sushant was a very down-to-earth and modest person. I thought I might get intimidated by his level of stardom but soon I realized he knew his roots very well and was well aware of the struggle he has gone through to establish himself in Bollywood. One thing that impressed me the most about him was the fact that he was unfazed by stardom and he considered all his colleagues equally. I had interacted with him a few times and he was very friendly with me. The way he conversed with other people portrayed that he had a clear heart.’ Vivek added, ‘Being a choreographer myself, it makes a huge difference to the performance when the actors you are performing with, have a deep sense of understanding the intricacies of dancing. Fortunately, while working with Sushant Singh Rajput, I realized that he is not only an extraordinary actor but also a flexible and passionate dancer. He danced like nobody’s watching and he always left a little bit of him in every performance he had done which added extra flavors and an oomph factor to his dancing skills.’ Mourning the demise of the beloved actor, he concluded saying, ‘The untimely demise of Sushant has shaken everybody in the industry, but he has made a mark for himself in the industry. I am very happy and grateful to have gotten an opportunity to work with him.’
