Four top leaders including BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will visit Sylhet on Saturday. They will address a rally organized by the BNP.

The BNP said in a statement that on 15 December 1971, the Sylhet region was liberated after defeating the Pakistani aggressors in a frontal battle led by Bangladesh Army and Sector Commander and Z Force Commander Ziaur Rahman. On this occasion, a rally has been organized at Sylhet Registry Ground on Saturday (December 16). Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address the function as the chief guest.
The rally will be held on Saturday (December 16) at 2 pm on the occasion of Sylhet Liberation Day at the initiative of the Sylhet Divisional Coordination Committee formed by the BNP to celebrate the golden jubilee of independence.
