Hasan Fayez Siddiqui has been sworn in as the 23rd Chief Justice of bangladesh. Friday (December 31) at 4 pm President. Abdul Hamid administered the oath of office to the new Chief Justice. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was present at the time.

Anwarul Islam administered the oath of office at the court hall of Bangabhaban. Later, the new Chief Justice signed the affidavit as per the rules.
The new chief justice entered the courtroom shortly before the swearing-in ceremony began on Friday. Shortly afterwards, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina entered the house together. The national anthem is played as per the rules when the President stands on the stage for the swearing in ceremony.

Hasan Fayez Siddiqui was born in 1956 in the village of Ramanathpur in Khoksa upazila of Kushtia. He is the fourth of 9 siblings. He passed matriculation from Khoksa Government Pilot High School in 1972. Then Satkhira Acharya was admitted to Prafulla College. He graduated from that college in 1974 and graduated in 1986. Then he was admitted in the political science department of Dhaka University. From there he obtained his MA degree in 1966. He then obtained a law degree from Dhanmondi Law College.
